Wash Your Car to Avoid Damaging its Exterior

Every car looks better when it is clean. Whether its an older model or a brand-new one, nothing beats a shiny, clean car. So if you don't already, be sure to keep it that way by getting your vehicle washed often -- especially of you live near the coast where there is plenty of salt in the air. Be sure to opt for extra car washes in areas where the roads get salted for the winter and be sure to pay special attention to your undercarriage, since dirt (and salt) tend to collect there. You should aim to get your car washed at least every two weeks but really, if you just wash it when it starts to get dirty, you'll be fine. The trick is to not let a thick layer of dirt and debris pile up on your car's exterior, because than you can start to do some real damage.
