What is Changing in the 2026 Ford Mustang vs. 2025?
The majority of the changes to the 2026 Ford Mustang come wrapped in a pair of new packages that hearken back to Mustangs of old. The most eye-catching option will be the new FX appearance package. This new look is available on Mustang GT Premium models, and adopts touches that callback to the Fox Body Mustang's of the early 90s. You'll get a retro cabin design with plaid seats, unique dials, and a stunning Adriatic Blue (Read: Aqua) Metallic paint option on the outside. Plus, white wheels with a Cobra-esque five-spoke fan design further fan the retro flames you'll find in the latest Mustang lineup.
In addition, models with the Performance Package will now take their cues from the track-ready Mustang Dark Horse. In addition to the plaid seats inside, Dimmitt and Muleshoe, TX drivers will also find blue and silver contrast stitching and a performance mode on the digital instrument cluster. Outside, carbon fiber trim pieces, added grille nostril trims, and additional aerodynamic bits help add to the head-turning looks.
