The 2018 F-150 offers the most advanced engine lineup in the truck’s history, proving performance leadership by offering the model’s best towing capacity ever. A standard 3.3-liter V6 engine with direct injection for increased efficiency is expected to generate 282 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. An all-new second-generation 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine has dual port and direct injection technology for improved output, quality, efficiency and durability. Both this engine and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost egine will be paired to a segment-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission.
A naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine puts out increased power and torque, and will also be matched to the 10-speed automatic transmission. For the first time ever, there’s a 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine available for the F-150.
Ford F-150 is the first full-size pickup truck to offer automatic start/stop as a standard feature on all trim levels. Available in the fall, the 2018 F-150 is being built at the company’s Dearborn Truck Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.

Ford Verifies That Ranger and Bronco are Returning
Ford Motor Company recently held a press conference at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show to announce that both the Bronco and Ranger models will soon return to the United States market.
The two vehicles will be produced at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan. Ford announced that the midsize Ranger pickup truck will be added to the company’s North American lineup in 2019, and the midsize Bronco SUV is slated for a 2020 global introduction. It is believed that the vehicles will be built on the same body-on-frame platform.
“We’ve heard our customers loud and clear. They want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive,” commented Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of The Americas. “Ranger is for truck buyers who want an affordable, functional, rugged and maneuverable pickup that’s Built Ford Tough. How Did Ford Celebrate Thanksgiving?
The Ford Motor Company wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving in a big way. So, it recently rolled out the new Mobility One float for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’s 90th-anniversary celebration.
Mobility One was a whopping more than 90 feet long and showed off a timeline view of Ford’s rich history of innovation. It was pulled along by one of Ford’s most popular models, a new Ford F-Series Super Duty truck. It was also one of more than 40 Ford vehicles that led the festivities through downtown Detroit, where eight-time Olympic swimming medalist Allison Schmitt, from Canton, Michigan, rode on the float. Dozens of Ford Volunteer Corps members showed their support for Ford and walked alongside her.
