The Ford Motor Company wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving in a big way. So, it recently rolled out the new Mobility One float for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade's 90th-anniversary celebration. Mobility One was a whopping more than 90 feet long and showed off a timeline view of Ford's rich history of innovation. It was pulled along by one of Ford's most popular models, a new Ford F-Series Super Duty truck. It was also one of more than 40 Ford vehicles that led the festivities through downtown Detroit, where eight-time Olympic swimming medalist Allison Schmitt, from Canton, Michigan, rode on the float. Dozens of Ford Volunteer Corps members showed their support for Ford and walked alongside her. For more information, visit Hamilton Big Country Ford. Ford to be Part of Auto Groups Constructing European Charging Network
Ford is partnering with other automotive brands to bring a charging network to Europe to make it easier for consumers to own electric vehicles. The BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company and Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche have signed an agreement to construct the highest-powered charging system in Europe. Their goal is to create a large number of stations to make long-range driving for battery electric vehicles a reality. A press release from Ford called it a significant step toward facilitating mass-market battery electric vehicle adoption. "A reliable, ultra-fast charging infrastructure is important for mass consumer adoption and has the potential to transform the possibilities for electric driving," says Mark Fields, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company. Meet the Family of Ford F-150 Truck Engines
Clovis, New Mexico, is revered by outdoors enthusiasts for the scenic nature that surrounds the city. The Ford F-150 truck lineup is popular, therefore, because drivers in Clovis know how important it is to have a vehicle that can handle driving on all types of terrain. After all, enjoying our environment means exploring it, and doing that requires off-road capabilities. Many of these activities also require the ability to tow a trailer or haul a payload of ATVs, hunting or fishing supplies, or camping gear. What gives an F-150 pickup truck its power is its engine, and with a family of four great engines to choose from, you can be sure that when you buy or lease a new F-150 truck at Hamilton Big Country Ford, that vehicle will have the exact capability you need. To start with, three out of the four Ford F-150 engines are V6 motors. The most powerful of these is the 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6, which produces 365 horsepower and 420 foot-pounds of torque. For the best combined MPG, though, consider the 2.7-liter EcoBoost® engine. If you are looking for the maximum amount of horsepower for your new Ford F-150 truck, the right choice is the largest engine in the family, a 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 motor that puts out 385 horses. Feel free to take a test drive in any of our F-150 truck models for sale to learn firsthand what engine best suits you.
Durability of Ford Super Duty Trucks
When a job calls for a task that regular work trucks cannot do, you can turn to Ford's lineup of Super Duty® trucks, which are some of the strongest and toughest pickups available anywhere. In Clovis, New Mexico, in particular, you can browse a wide selection of new Super Duty models for sale or lease at Hamilton Big Country Ford. But what exactly is the source of these trucks' durability? What makes a Ford F-250 SD pickup capable of tackling huge tasks without breaking a sweat? For one thing, Super Duty trucks have an aluminum alloy body that is high-strength and military grade. The frame of these pickups, meanwhile, is built with high-strength boxed steel, and most recently, upgraded suspension and steering systems in the new 2017 Ford Super Duty trucks give them enhanced control and more responsive steering even while towing or hauling a heavy load. The axles on these Super Duty models are stronger, as well. Thus, by working together, these different elements create extraordinary durability. To give you an idea, Ford has test driven its current generation of Super Duty trucks over 12 million miles. If they are that confident in their product, you can also be.
5 National Parks Drives You Won't Want to Miss
Looking for #summer #roadtrip ideas? These @Interior national parks are well worth the drive. https://t.co/SI2ondiTkW - Ford Motor Company (@Ford) June 27, 2016 The first U.S. National Park was established in 1872, signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant. The purpose was to preserve a unique, and distinctly American landscape for future generations to enjoy. That park, Yellowstone, remains to this day one of the most iconic places to experience close encounters with American bison, wolves, elk, eagles, and grizzly bears. The famed Old Faithful Geyser also draws crowds from around the world. This prestige earns it a place as the first stop on Ford's list of five National Park drives, which you might want to take with your Ford Expedition. Also pulling Ford's notice are the Adirondacks, the largest national park in the lower 48 states, Yosemite, Glacier National Park, and the Grand Canyon. Each offers their own unique driving experience, scenic views, and camping and hiking opportunities. Visit Hamilton Big Country Ford to find the perfect road-trip vehicle in our new inventory. IIHS Awards 2017 Fusion with Top Safety Pick+
Say hello to the 2017 #Ford #Fusion, an impressive combination of safety and style. https://t.co/xsnrWXbsjB - Ford Fusion (@FordFusion) June 16, 2016 The 2017 Ford Fusion is newly redesigned and safer than ever before, joining the Ford F-150 as an IIHS Top Safety Pick. To earn a Top Safety Pick under the IIHS's new, more stringent standards, the Fusion had to earn the highest score in all five of the IIHS's crashworthiness tests. Up until the 2016 model, the Fusion was already earning the highest marks in four out of five categories, but lagged behind slightly in the small-overlap front test, earning the second-highest mark. This year, the 2017 Fusion received more than just a facelift, but also received bolstered protection against small-overlap collisions, and an upgraded Pre-Collision System, capable of preventing a crash at up to 25mph. "The 2017 Ford Fusion is our most advanced car yet and we're proud to see it recognized by NHTSA and the IIHS for its safety performance too," said Bill Strickland, chief program engineer, Ford Motor Company. "Great new features include a pedestrian detection system and hands-free parallel and perpendicular parking capability, as well as existing optional lane-keeping assist and Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert." At Hamilton Big Country Ford, we pride ourselves on the safety and high-tech features of our new vehicles. Visit us in Clovis today, and take a look at what we have to offer.
For Puts the Pressure on More Expensive German Sedans with All-new Fusion V6 Sport
When it comes to sedans with high-output engines and jaw-dropping agility, you might think you have to cross the ocean for something European. That's not the case anymore, as yesterday, Ford announced the impending arrival of a new Fusion model with serious EcoBoost power, that's taking aim at certain German models with much higher price tags. With a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine, the all-new Fusion V6 Sport produces 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. That's more than the BMW 535i at with a starting MSRP of just $33,475. Furthermore, the Fusion V6 Sport delivers all-wheel drive as standard equipment. "It's not just Fusion buyers who want something hotter," says Wade Jackson, Ford Fusion marketing manager. "Owners of other midsize sedans, along with our own dealers, ask repeatedly. So buyers get a 2.7-liter EcoBoost that makes 325 horsepower and a more impressive 380 pound-feet of torque. These consumers also crave a car that's much more distinctive inside and out. Cross-shoppers will be shocked by the bang for the buck our new Fusion Sport delivers." The 325-horsepower Fusion V6 Sport goes on sale at the end of summer 2016.

Mustang is World's Best-Selling Sports Coupe in 2015
Earlier this morning, Ford issued a press release announcing that, in its first year of global availability, the Mustang became the best-selling sports coupe in the world in 2015. Despite limited availability in major markets like the UK and China, Ford sold around 110,000 Mustang coupes last year, more than any competitor. Additionally, the automaker delivered around 30,000 Mustang convertibles, bringing total nameplate sales to more than 141,000; making the Mustang the best-selling two-door sports car in the world by far. "U.S. consumers have enjoyed interesting foreign sports cars for decades, so it was time for the Americans to return the favor with the worldwide launch of the new Mustang," says Erich Merkle, Ford sales analyst. "Global markets have responded in a huge way. Ford Mustang was the only sports coupe in the world with more than 100,000 units registered last year."
Why Ford is Adding 4 New SUVs to an Already Busy SUV Lineup
At the 2016 Chicago Auto Show this month, Ford Motor Company announced plans to introduce four new SUVs to the global market by 2020. So, what are they doing? Didn't you just see four or five different models of new Ford SUVs in our Clovis, NM inventory? Answer: yes, you did. However, Business Insider explains that the SUV is the hottest selling segment in the automotive industry. Millennials starting families have a strong preference for SUVs and crossovers. Ford's vice president of Marketing, Sales, and Service goes on to explain, "As members of the 80-million-strong millennial age group enter their prime child-rearing years, a leading indicator of more SUV sales, nearly 80 million aging baby boomers continue to prefer their SUVs. It's a demographic double whammy and it all points to one thing - more SUVs for the foreseeable future." You heard it from the source: look for more SUVs joining our new inventory at Hamilton Big Country Ford.
Ford Explorer Platinum Guest Appears on The X-Files
Hear just a few bars of the introductory music to this popular show from the mid-90s and you'll likely recognize it in an instant. It's a simple whistle, not a big orchestra sound, and a catchy tune. Any guesses? If you thought of The X-Files, you're right. Fans of the popular show were overjoyed last night when they once again followed the adventures of Agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny). Some things have changed: an updated wardrobe and of course, the age of the actors-both of whom still look great by the way-but some things remained the same. The intrigue, the mystery ... and the Ford vehicles. Well, the vehicles themselves have changed. The Ford Taurus that the agents used to share was replaced with Scully's new Ford Explorer Platinum. We couldn't help but wonder if this was all due to functionality-the many driver-assisted features are pretty handy-or the stylish look. Either way, here at Hamilton Big Country Ford Inc., we were happy to see it featured. We hope you'll stop by and visit us soon here in Clovis, New Mexico, where we have a great lineup of both new and pre-owned vehicles ready for you to browse.
